NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The cab of a tractor-trailer fell off an overpass on the Staten Island Expressway near South Avenue, Tuesday afternoon.

The cab landed on South Avenue. The rest of the truck dangled from an overpass for a few hours.
The truck was traveling westbound on 1-278 at the time of the accident.
At one point there were delays back to Bradley Avenue.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was injured but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.
As of 2:40 p.m., the truck was pulled from the roadway, lowered to ground and removed.
