Cops: Driver Crashes Car After Heart Attack, 9 Injured

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Nine people were hurt Wednesday afternoon when a man apparently had a heart attack behind the wheel of his car and crashed into three other vehicles in Midtown, police said.

Tiwari Parmod, 50, of Whitestone appeared to have suffered a heart attack was taken to Bellvue Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Nine other people suffered minor injuries in the accident that happened at 38th Street and 5th Avenue.

Police are investigating the incident.
